Makes moving items on tile floors a breezeJul 28, 2010

I was a skeptic with a bum shoulder but what could trying hurt? My biggest concern was damaging our tile floor but after moving our first piece of furniture with these, that worry faded. After having these sliders for more than 2 years now I can say with full confidence that life is easier with them. I have used them for moving anything over 10 pounds, sewing tables to a washer and dryer. When I have a really heavy object, like a dresser or sweater chest, I do remove all the drawers first because it makes it easier to get the sliders under the feet. I just rearranged my son's bedroom furniture yesterday, he has a bed with captain's drawers underneath and it is a behemoth. Everything went off without a hitch.

Moving furniture is a breezeNov 20, 2009
By Shopper Sue These sliders are wonderful for moving furniture around on carpeted areas. The felt backed sliders are great to move furniture on wood and not scratch the wood. The only tricky parts are lifting the furniture to get the sliders under the corners of the furniture, and then getting the ones you can't get to (like on a back corner of the furniture in a corner of the room) out from under the furniture when you are finished moving it. But you can leave them under permanently, if you don't mind seeing them there.

Not meant for heavy itemsMar 11, 2010

I used these to move my bedroom furniture from one room to the next while my floors were being refinished. One move. The weight of my armoire and dresser caused these to dent terribly, so that they can't be used again. And when the guys pushed the furniture, a few times they pushed right off of the sliders, even though the sliders were perfectly centered under the legs. I would think that there would be enough 'grip' to the design that the furniture would stay on. I was hoping that once the furniture was moved that I could just turn these over and keep them on as floor protectors, but I couldn't. These may work with some things, but not with heavy furniture. Would never buy these again!

Works as advertised - Excellent!Sep 29, 2011

In my small living room, I use these under a power recliner to move it out of my way daily to get to a litter box in the corner. The chair would be impossible for me to move otherwise, especially on carpet but it glides right out of the way on these Sliders. The long, rectangular ones included work well under my two seater glider/recliner which makes it easy to move that as well for vacuuming underneath. This kit is designed as a "moving kit" but I've find them indispensable in use everyday!
Update: A recent tip given to me by a furniture repair person; a larger (slider) does not necessarily mean a better result. He said that using the slider size closest to the size on the leg or foot on the object I'd like to move might get an even better result. He suggested that if the weight is more evenly distributed across the entire slider pad then the object ultimately will slide even better than if I just use the one-size-fits-all dinner plate sized route. I swapped out a set following this advice and sure enough that heavy motorized recliner that I need to move still slides right out of the way on the smaller sliders and looks neater to boot!
Excellent product, fair price.

Paid to much on Amazon siteJan 27, 2011

I borrowed my neighbor's set about once a month. This is an amazing item. It's like having 2 strong men helping you move furniture...well almost. I ordered on Amazon ($23.43) went to Lowe's today and saw the same set for $17.00. I hate spending extra money! Good product. Lowe's is cheaper!
