I had recently purchased The Lean Office Pocket Gudie and was impressed with the information, but did not know what my next steps were to introduce Lean into our administrative areas. The Lean Office Training Set exceeded my expectations. It allowed me to more fully understand the concepts and tools that are explained in detail in the Lean Office Pocket Guide, while providing activities and actual Lean applications in the office. We used the content from the CD that was included in the Set and created our own training materials to use across our organization. This Set allowed us to begin our Lean Office journey pointed in the right direction!

This New Lean Office Training Set is exactly what we needed. The case studies allowed us to discuss some of our issues related to applying Lean for our administrative processes. Also, the value stream mapping and data collection exercises were a good foundation for us to learn from before we applied them to our processes. The Lean Office Assessment was an added bonus. Great set of training materials!

We found The New Lean Office Training Set very useful in rolling out Lean to our administrative staff (mostly accounting and customer service at this time). We found the information general enough to relate to these groups and had good discussions after the case studies and activities. This Set is very good and provides the customization required for the nuances of every office environment. This Set provided us with the base content and then we went from there. We did find the value stream mapping exercise, it only taking about an hour, very useful to relay the overall concept of value stream mapping. We also now use The Lean Office Assessment as part of our Operational Excellence program for our administrative areas. The Set is simple and very, very practical! Great value!

I found The New Lean Office Training Set to be exactly what we needed to introduce Lean into our administrative areas. The PowerPoint presentation, as well as the case studies and exercises, gave us the perspective needed. The training set also includes references to MS Office (files and folders, data and information flow) examples that made Lean concepts very current. We started applying 5S using the principles in this training to our electronic files and folders with some great success. We had some questions regarding the exercises and the publisher, The Lean Store, was very helpful too.

We found this training set to be a great value. All the Lean tools are well explained with excellent examples from both a conceptual point-of-view and practical examples. For example, the discussion regarding data collection entails a 15 minute exercise that ensures a complete understanding of cycle times and document tagging. The other exercises included throughout the training set makes this the most comprehensive set of training materials for Lean in healthcare. We customized the PowerPoint presentation to include additional examples. Great value and resource!
