Fabulous New Edition to Lean OfficeJun 23, 2009
By David Blake
"Director, Process Excellence"
This new edition of demonstrating and explaining on how Lean concepts apply to the desktop (computer) application environment is a must for all. The examples for the 10 chapters are straight-forward in which any computer user can start to understand about digital waste. I have been searching for years for someone to write about this and finally it's here. A strong recommendation to buy.

The New Lean Office Pocket Guide Works for MeJun 26, 2009
By Emily R. Nemeth This newer version is superb. The Microsoft Office examples in the 10 chapters allowed us to begin to think on how Lean works in the MS Office environment. As we become more paperless, books and examples like this are invaluable. Even our IT people found the chapter on 5S very practical (and useful). We are creating new teams with different objectives due to the Desktop examples discussed in this new version. Great job authors!

Lean Tools Explained Relative to Today's Office EnvironmentApr 06, 2011
By Julie Stafford I liked the basic approach this pocket guide has taken by simply explaining each of the Lean tools relative to work documents and those "office" issues that make it different from production. Even though I had a good understanding of Lean for manufacturing, I found this to be a good primer for me as we continually strive to improve our administrative processes. 5S is 5S, as all the other Lean tools, and this book in a very clean way, makes these connections from manufacturing to administration. The additional chapters that had examples on how a Lean tool applied to data and information flow was a great enhancement. This book has Lean office photos, as well as mini-case studies.
