If you would like a down-to-earth and practical training program for hospital staff (operational) that simply conveys the Lean concepts with healthcare case studies and photos, then The New Lean Healthcare Training Set is for you. It was nice to have the core content provided in Microsoft PowerPoint so it could be customized. This set has all the basic information to deliver the overall concept of what Lean is and what it can do for a healthcare organization.

We found this newer edition to be a great addition to our Lean-Sigma training program. Not only are the activities very practical and to-the-point, we used the case studies and had some great discussions with our training groups. The data collection and value stream mapping exercises also brought out some good questions that allowed our applications of those tools to be that much more effective. Great program!

New Lean Healthcare Training Set is Exactly What I OrderedNov 19, 2009

I recently ordered The New Lean Healthcare Training Set and I received exactly what was stated on the Amazon's web page for the book. All the forms, worksheets, etc. were included. It is a great training program and we are customizing it to include some of our examples. The exercises on data collection and value stream mapping are practical and allowed us to discuss many things relating to our Kaizen project. The Lean Healthcare Jeopardy Game is an excellent way to review the material that is covered in the Set. I did have some questions regarding the activities and found subsequent communication with The Lean Store's customer service department was exceptional. (I actually spoke to one of the authors of the Set.)

We are beginning to work with hospitals in implementing Lean practices. Many of these hospitals have been implementing Six Sigma to various degrees of success. We purchased this Training Set and found the slides, examples, case studies, exercises, etc. to be exactly what we needed in integrating Lean into our program. We like the focus this Set has on operational staff with the examples and exercises bringing Lean practices and concepts into the day-to-day realities of working in healthcare. A significant amount of practical knowledge went into this training program. Five Stars!

Good, Solid Training for HealthcareNov 30, 2010

We found this training set to be full of healthcare related examples that we used in our internal training. All the Lean tools were well-described, as well as photos, illustrations, or worksheets were provided that allowed you to being to think on how to use that particular tool. The data collection and value stream mapping exercises were excellent. We had customized the training by adding our own slides and examples which made the training even more valuable. We now have 4, 6, and 8 hour workshops for our staff. Very good information and the exercises were great!
