Excellent Resource for Information Security ProfessionalsDec 10, 2010
By BRADLEY H BEMIS JR Lean Six-Sigma is a powerful methodology for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of any process... It is especially useful in the field of information security, yet many of us have not fully explored its basic tenants, or have had bad experiences with past process improvement initiatives that fell short.
This book does an excellent job of not only laying the groundwork for understanding Lean Six-Sigma and using it to drive process improvement, it does so in the context of IT Governance. Within these pages you'll find specific guidance on how to apply Lean Six-Sigma philosophies and tools to improve upon many of the best practices available today - COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL, and so many more...
It is one of the most comprehensive treatments of the potential benefits I've seen to date on this topic. I highly recommend it to any security professional looking to expand his or her horizons and learn new ways of driving change...

Lean Six Sigma for the CIOJun 12, 2010
By Kathleen O'toole An eloquent treatise marrying together the concepts of Lean and Six Sigma with ITSM. Clear descriptions and explanations on how to use the various toolkits together. Great examples tying Lean Sigma to Service Management. An intelligent review of the practical applications of industrial engineering methodologies to IT problems. I enjoyed it so much I bought 2 copies, so I could share it.
