Roadmap to WCMOct 22, 2006
By F. H. Van Saarloos Though the title implies implementation, In my opinion this is more an educational resource used to train shop floor workers. It handles some theory, but enough to get the picture, but not to much so that you will get overloaded.
The book has got good diagrams, charts, and photos that make understanding 5S, manufacturing cells, kanbans, and techniques for setup reduction (SMED) easy. In fact, the basic concepts behind lean/WCM manufacturing are simple and this book breakes the WCM proces into small steps,so that you can take one step at the time.
