It breaks down the kanban system into 25 design options where you select kanban technique based upon your environment. Practical Application of KanbanOct 02, 2006
By J. Madden This book was exactly what I needed to improve productivity in my business. It was not a one size fits all kanban design process but rather guided the reader in the appraisal of their own unique environment. After reading this book, I realized that kanban in and of itself does not make a world class system but rather it is selecting the appropriate kanban techniques for the specific environment that creates a great system.

Great for those in kanban management positionsOct 01, 2006
By J. Townsend This book is without question the most thorough and insightful work on designing a kanban system that I have read. The implementation aspects of this book are truly powerful as it not only explains the appropriate implementation steps but also demonstrates how to determine the anticipated inventory levels prior to implementing kanban. As someone who has personally managed a kanban replenishment system, this book is a must read.
