The most in-depth and practical 5S advice availableDec 05, 2008
By Steve Lage This is simply the best and most practical 5S book ever written. In it, Rick shares the lessons learned from his years as a plant manager and consultant implementing 5S. He provides so many how-to examples that there is hardly a situation you'll encounter that isn't covered by a practical and effective solution. Whether you are an experienced 5S practitioner or someone with a moderate interest in 5S, this is a must have. The 5S Leader's Field Guide will help you implement and sustain a thriving 5S system faster and with fewer mistakes. I only hope that Rick writes similar books on other lean/world class manufacturing techniques.

The Best 5S Book Available !!!Dec 08, 2008
By Howie B Finally a book on 5S that doesn't cover all of the same remedial material on 5S. It's easy to understand 5S and "clean up" your area, but how do you actually sustain 5S and make it part of the organizational culture? This book answers that question extremely well, with both examples of physically how to sustain 5S and what you must do as a leader to address the people challeges of 5S. There are also great examples of how to take 5S to the next level. If you are considering 5S (everyone should!) or are currently struggling with 5S implementation, this book is a must read!

Awesome material for every leaderDec 14, 2008
By S. Carver This book is packed with great information. The 3S+2S=5S is an awesome concept that really changed the way I think about 5S. It makes so much sense why I've been cleaning my garage two time a year for ever. There are wonderful examples in the book like on page 75. And the appendix material is awesome too.
